I would like to know if this is possible :
In my DOMINO environnement, there is a main DOMINO server which can not be upgraded for the moment. This server is in version 6.5. It is the hub server.
But I would like to bring to my users a new feature for their mobile : IBM Traveler, which is not compatible with 6.5, but only with higher version.
So I would like to know if I can add in a cluster way, or with only replicatio, a new DOMINO Server in v8.5 or v9.
On this server I will install traveler, and replicate mailboxes of users that need traveler.

Hi there,
I probably wouldn’t load traveler on the new server (should be a separate server) but if you replicate the databases to the new server and set this as the users home mail server then a traveler server will be able to communicate with this server and deliver the mobile functionality you are looking for.

In fact I first try to replicate mailboxes, without traveler, and I did not succeed to make domino 6 and domino 8/9 replication working in an automatic way.
If I understand well, what you suggest is to move the mailboxes of users who need traveler to the new server ? so that this one will be their default server ? And next to add a third server which will handle all traveler stuff ? am I right ?
I may try that.

you got it… but you should still be able to replicate the databases from a 6.5 server to a 8/9 server.
