Is anyone experiencing problems with synching the PAB with the Blackberry? We are synching wirelessly using version 4 on the handheld. The notes client is 6.5.4, Domino server 6.5.4, BES server 4.1. We have the PAB setup on a server and the PIM Synch setting in the BB Manager pointing at the users PAB. The syching is intermittent at best. I have talked to RIM but they haven’t been much help. Any suggestions, thoughts, experiences would be helpful.

You can also create a folder on your BEZ server and put in a replica copy of the per address book, you then set the config inb the BEZ admin console to use that path and server.The setting are under PIM sync → Address Book in the BEZ admin console.

We experienced the same problem in our organisation. I believe the cause was related to major outages at RIM about 4 weeks ago. We had to get all of our clients to force a reconcile now before mail would sync. It was only discovered about 2 weeks ago that the address books were not synching since this time also. After 2 weeks discussion with RIM support the simplest solution is to
(1) Go to “Options”
(2) Select “Service Book”
(3) Locate “Desktop [SYNC]” service book
(4) Perform a delete and undelete (you need to click on the trackwheel to bring up the menu)
Basically, this is to force a data synchronization on the handheld.
Running an Enterprise activation works as well but this is the quickest solution. In the options section of the address book we were missing the Wireless Synchronisation option until the above took place. It resends config data from BES server which if it has not changed will automatically start synching the address book again. hopefully this works for you as well.

Go to Rim’s web page and download the service pack for BES. This will upgrade the server to version 4.2 (yes they call it a service pack) - This will fix all of your PAB synching issues.

Unfortunately i’ve upgraded to 4.3 hotfix 1 and the problem is still there.
Everything is synchronised except the contacts …
Do you know how to contact RIM to open a “call” ?

While in your mail go to Actions>Synchronize Address Book. This is meant to synch your personal address book with iNotes but it works for Blackberry as well.
