Hi,
I want to setup a Domino Server on AWS for Verse, Traveler, and some basic apps (small usage of the apps). Aproximately, for 120 users.
There is a lof of options on AWS for machine (compute) and for disk (EBS), and not sure about what is the best option to use.
a).- Compute: Not sure if choosing a T3 famlity for the EC2, or going directly to M5. I guess that for the load I mentionated previously, 2 vPUs and 8 GB will be enough (please correct me if wrong). I am aware that T3 will force me to burst credits, but I hope I will not be needed get unlimited burst credit. Also, not sure if is better to go to another family that does not need burst credits, and with a different ratio of compute/memory. Any suggestiont there ?
b). EBS: I guess that is better to have different volumes mounted, so I not reach the maximum of IOPS/Trought allowed for EBS disk. I was thinking on using a gp3 EBS volume for /local/notesdata, another additional gp3 EBS volume for /local/notesdata/translog with additional IOPS, and also setup a normal cold Hdd Drive (sc1) for /local/backup (for the new Domino 12 backup task). Additionally, I was thinking on more EBS volumes for /local/notesdata/daos, and maybe and addional one for views. Yes, I am aware that using io1 and io2 EBS volume will give me the greatest perfomance, but cost will be much higher and not sure if they are really needed. Is there any best practice or suggestion on how to use EBS volumes with Domino ?
If someone can share with me their experiences on using Domino on AWS, and how to tune it for AWS, would be great. Thks !!!

Hi , this is very old document and cannot see domino on AWS marketplace. can you confirm how to setup domino on AWS ?
Hi @Rohit Kumar there is no Domino on AWS marketplace (Catalog) but Domino can be run/install in AWS Cloud.
You can run this either on the following:
1. Bare metal Servers
2. Virtual Machines
3. Docker Containers
If you're going to use bare metal or virtual machines, what OS you're going to use? because if you used this two option then you are using it as the same as in the on-prem and you just need to contact the AWS to fix your network to use the same network you have right now. With this your on-prem and cloud servers will be seeing each other.
