Domino 7 & DB2 - ODBC -IBM DB2 ODBC Driver

Hi,

I browsed the internet but can’t find an answer to my question.

Im investigating connections options to external database for an indept N7D530.

I have a Domino 7.01 with DB2access in place, this works fine (DAV’s SQL view so on).

On the Domino server I installed DB2 connection software for usage with DECS, DCR, LEI and ODBC.

I also registered the IBM DB2 ODBC driver, created a DSN with name and password for full administrator db2admin.

The driver is also installed on my client for client access.

What works fine:

  • DB2 connector for use DECS, DCR’s works fine.

  • ODBC to DB2 works fine locally (i’m reading firstnme out of EMPLOYEE table in SAMPLE database, with a @dbcommand)

MY PROBLEM:

  • ODBC to DB2 when serversite browsing (DCr’s and DECS) runs into an error. “Realtime service error connecting to external database”. I can see the databases but no fields(column info).

  • ndctest works fine !

Anybody please help.

have you tried testing the connection with contest?

I understand ncontest only works for testing with LEI in place.I do not want to install LEI. I want to use the IBM ODBC driver for DECS and DCR’s. But in my DECS connection document I can reach the database/Tables but not the fields.
