Has anyone got Websphere 5.0 to use the domino LDAP server? When I try to use it I got an error message telling me that the user is not valid. I make a user in domino dirctory and set a http password on the user. I can even log in with the user for a ldap client. But websphere 5 fails to use the same user.

I have WebSphere Application Server Express 5.0 with Domino 6.0.1CF1 with LDAP task running. These are on iSeries. The users can authenticate just fine.

Make sure you have applied the 5.0.1 patch to Websphere. I couldn’t get this to work either until the patch was applied.
Also, even though the help (and several redbooks) explicitly say that if you are using Domino, you don’t have to fill in the field “base distinguished name” on the WebSphere > Security > User Registries > LDAP page, I couldn’t get it to authenticate properly (even though ldapsearch worked) until I put “o=mynotesdomain” in this field.
