I can start the server in safe mode and then start Domino just fine. Server won’t start in Normal mode. The screen freezes on Applying settings screen.

Hello,Did you ever resolve this problem? I have installed Domino many times on mutlihomed servers without any problems, however yesterday I had the exact same problem as you. If I set the Domino service to manual the server would start up OK and I could start the service manually without a problem. If I left it at automatic then this problem occured.
What was you resolution?

I had similar,
It’s a microsoft problem rather than a notes problem. It has to do with a multihomed machine. It’s not frozen however. If you wait it out for 20 minutes or so it will start. There are some tips on how to muck with the DNS to improve the problem on a number of other sites. Google… “applying computer settings” and you should find some docs.
