3- Test the connectivity from all clients to the server using ping command (it is ok)

4-install new lotus notes domino server with fix pack 1

5-test the connectivity with all clients (it is ok)

6-workstaions start to open notes clients and try to get mails.

7-some of these notes clients have the message say (server not responding)

8-test the connectivity between these clients and server (requested time out)

9-this the same of problem description

10- Moved notes server to another server (ML370 G3 with windows 2000 server)

Noticed that here as well. Are your client machines using XP SP2?

Yes, all our machines using XP SP2

One would think we wouldn’t have to make extensive changes but we had to disable the “autodisconnect” on the servers (google the term for an MS KB paper). Seems to have worked but we periodically get disconnected from the server (shared drives) still.

I’ll try to disable the “autodisconnect”, but without running Domino server all the connictions drom the clients are OK “using Ping” but whrn we started the domino and useres try to connect the connections fails. I think this is not related to the Windows!!

Good point - I need to down the Domino server and then see if there is an issue - but on the other hand - my folks will get disconnected from their shared drives as well.
