Domino 6.0.4 server stops after getting error: HTTP Server: Accept Error, unable to re-establish listen end point, server needs to be shutdown and restarted

I have had three instances within the last week where the server stops responding and displays errors like :

HTTP Server: Accept Error, listen end point disconnected, will try to re-establish

HTTP Server: Accept, listen end point is re-established

HTTP Server: Accept Error, listen end point disconnected, will try to re-establish

HTTP Server: Accept Error, unable to re-establish listen end point, server needs to be shutdown and restarted

That last message is logged over and over ( hundreds of times ) in the log file and is displayed on the console.

We use this primarily as a web server to provide browser access to Domino databases. I am not a Domino expert, so can someone suggest a place to start looking to solve this?

Is it a configuration issue? We recently upgraded to Domino 6 from 5.0.11 to attempt to solve a problem with duplicated person documents in two domains. The upgrade solved that problem, but now I have this new one.
