The Domino 6.0.1 downloads are now available for iSeries from:

For the incremental installer, from the section “Notes/Domino updates”, select “Download Notes Incremental Installer files”.
For the trial version download, from the section “Free trials”, select “iSeries (OS/400)”.
Subject: Update on Domino for iSeries 6.0.1 incremental installer
The Domino for iSeries 6.0.1 incremental installer has been temporarily removed from the download site.
The version that was there would not install to V5R1 unless V5R1 PTF MF30093 was installed (installs to V5R2 are fine). This PTF is available in the latest Java Group PTF made available in late January. Because we expect that most users would not be up to date with that group PTF and because we do not want to impose this PTF as a Domino 6.0.1 install requirement (because it requires an IPL) we are creating a new version of the incremental installer that does not require this PTF. We will post it as soon as possible.
The trial and full download versions of Domino 6.0.1 for iSeries were already built to not require this V5R1 JAVA PTF and should install fine to either V5R1 or V5R2.

Just FYI, if you have a test server, you may want to test the installation there. If not, then make sure you backup everything. I had an installation failure on my test box and IBM/Lotus has my joblog now. I’m not bashing it - I’m glad it’s out there and hopefully it’s just my environment. Will keep you posted on what IBM finds…

Subject: We are iSeries too, what happened?
We are on iSeries, too, one Domino server (6.0) only. I downloaded (zzzz) the Incremental 6.0 to 6.0.1 files. Is this what you ran? What happened and what warnings, suggestions can you give?
I ran a test incremental upgrade on a 6.0 client and the shortcut and menu options disappeared so I don’t want such “surprises” (or worse) happening on our server.

I ran the incremental install (I was told by Rochester that the full and incremental install files are the same size - so apparently they are the same…RSTLICPGM).
OK, from talking with supportline in Rochester, the installation failed because I was not completely up to date on the java group ptf. There was a specific PTF I needed that should be in SF99069 java group ptf package #14 or #15. I was at #11, so I was close… I was informed that they were going to take it off the web, but that the download I have is alright. Apparently they want to fix the need for having that PTF.
Anyway, I have ordered the java group and will install that, IPL my test machine, and then run the incremental installer once more. I may upgrade my client workstation as well to see what happens with my bookmarks, etc…
I will keep you posted - hopefully the PTFs will arrive tomorrow or early Thursday.
