Domino 10 Requirements ; POWER 9 Processor

I have seen the document on the below link for the Domino 10 requirements, and found IBM POWER 7 and 8 processor.

Does it support POWER 9 processor as well?

Shin,

We have Domino 9 and 10 on a Power9 Processor (9009-41A), using DAOS, but are having performance and stability issues -- working with HCL to resolve... As soon as we figure it out, will let you know if it's safe to swim....

Tim,

Thank you for your reply. I hope the problem to be resolved.

Does it seem to be the problem of POWER9 processor itself, or the combination of the processor and DAOS function?

Started 92 days ago when we loaded up onto our new box. As of Today it sounds like we have the right people aboard; to finally resolve the issue. We've got the latest PTF's on a v7.2 LPAR, 256GB of Main Store, and 44 fast SSD's on a 3 CPU uncapped config. When our population used to run very nicely on a P7 with 16GB and spinny drives. I believe the old setup didn't use DAOS, and I think the new one does. Oh, and we're using 32-bit, when the Dom 10.0 Requirements Document says 64 is supported; so I dunno. I'm just the Systems guy backing up the Domino Admin....

We've been running Domino on two Power 9's and on a Power 8 for quite some time now. We have 15 lpars of IBM i, 5 on each Power system. Most are running Domino.

When the Power 9's first came out Domino was unusable. 30 years of IBM i and it's predecessors and it's the first time I've ever opened a "crit sit". Management made us migrate email to O365 but we are still using Domino extensively for other applications.

The Power 9 situation has been mostly resolved. I still have a few cases open with HCL where a Domino server spontaneously reboots itself. However it may be a week or more in between occurrences. HCL claims to have a fix for it but they have no clue how to distribute the fix to IBM i users. The tooling formerly used stayed with IBM. I literally have line in my cases saying the same thing for months:
