Domain name removal from groups

Hi,

Through code, I want to remove the domain name from my lotus notes group.

Example: Mygroup

When i send the mail to “Mygroup” mailgroup, it appends the domain name with the group (Mygroup@abc.com). How it can be removed.

It’s probably only when you pick the group from a Directory Catalog. Try to pick it from the Domino Directory instead, then it will not add the domain. I have a case at IBM on a simular case when adding a group to an invitation. From the DirCat the domain gets added. They have a couple of suggestions as a workaround, but I didn’t have the time to test them. If the above is the issue, please get back to me and I’ll mail you the suggested solutions from IBM.

Thanks Jan for your cooperation.

Basically when i create memo and send the mail to a group. In the “To” head domino automatically add the domain name i.e. mygroup@abc.com domain.

i want to remove @abc.com domain from “To” Header". if you have some workarounds from IBM, please it me. May be it will work.

Hi,

Do you have any solutions or suggestions for this? I have a similar problem at the moment where we are doing a domain consolidation. Dircat is being aggregated in the new domain, but people still in the old domains when sending using groups in the new dircat, mail gets sent via the new domain even though members of the group are on the same server.

Hi,

I should add that this domain information is only added for people who have dircat as a local address book. As soon as you use this, even when looking at dircat on the server, the field “Mail Domain” for the group documents is populated with the new domain information.
