Hello all-
I am trying to find out which of my DBs have replicas on my 3 Domino servers.
I have followed Domino Administrator Help to set up a Domain Catalog, and from what I can tell the process ran, but I still only see one server’s DBs listed in the DB Catalog.
If I understood the help file correctly, I should NOT have to enable the indexer (I have no need for it) in order to have a domain catalog.
Am I understanding things correctly? Once a domain catalog is created, I should be able to see what DBs are on which server(s) from within the same view?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks,
Robin

Not necessarily. If the DB Property “Show in Database Catalog” isn’t set, you won’t see it in the catalog.

Thanks for your response!
I kind of thought that would have something to do with it, and there are quite a few DBs that have that property box un-checked (on purpose).
BUT for the DBs that ARE listed in the Catalog, I still only see the DBs for one server. In the “By Server” view, shouldn’t I see SERVER A, SERVER B, SERVER C ?
Currently I only see whichever server I am connected to in Domino Admin. (SERVER A is my domain catalog server). Am I looking in the wrong place?
Thanks again

Figured it out. I had an ACL issue.
The catalog process was giving me an error…“unable to replace obsolete catalog. The name is not in the list”
I had to manually add the LocalDomainCatalogServers group to each of my servers DB Catalogs. Then the process ran, and I see everything as I should.
Gregg, thanks again for your response!

I just gave you a little push in the right direction. The rest, you did yourself.
Nice job.
