Does smartupgrade work from 7.0.3 to 8.5?

Customer was able to smartupgrade from 8.0.2 to 8.5 but from 7.0.3 client, even file\tools\Notes smart upgrade brings back “There were no matching kits…”

Subject: Yes.

It’s more than likely a configuration error with one of the kit documents in the SmartUpgrade database. The 7.0x to 8.5 upgrade via SmartUpgrade is a tested scenario.

They need to make sure they have a kit that matches the Source Version for each Notes Client Version out there

This is the section in the kit they have to make sure they get correct

All Notes Client prior to 8.0 are considered Notes Basic Clients so if they are creating a kit to upgrade Release 7.0.3 Clients they need to make sure Notes Basic is selected… Remember this is the Source side of an upgrade… It’s fine if they are upgrading to a Notes Standard Kit or to another Notes Basic kit…
