Does domino http server still accept username and password as parameters to login?

it works fine in domino server 6.x or 7.x , but not 8.x , is there any configuration to make the username and password parameter take effect?any suggestion is appreciated

So long as the user has an internet password and ACL access to the database in question, the user should be granted access to the server/database over HTTP.

Can you confirm, are you receiving the authentication prompt over HTTP? Is the username and password entered correctly?

Is this a new server brought up in 8.01 …check if multiple SSO is there ? have you enabled Single server /Multiple SSO for session authentication ?if disabled will not work

Thanks for response.Yes, it is a new server 8.01. I have checked the configuration again, single server SSO for session authentication is enabled , and user has ACL access to database, internet password is correct, but still promt the login window. Very confused!

I have added an R8.01 server to a network with quite a few other R6 and R7 servers. Now, any users I add or modify can never log in through the browser. Old users who were registered on the r6/r7 servers can sign in.

Yes - I have checked all the parameters - SSO etc are identical across all servers.
