Does DAOS still require Transactional Logging in 8.5.1?

I am looking at setting up DAOS on a 8.5.1 server. Looking at this site:

It doesn’t mention having Transactional Logging in the requirements. Do I still need to have Transactional Logging enabled on the server in order for DAOS to work?
