Does calendar federation work with private on first use views?

I’m trying to overlay a private on first use calendar view from a shared, calendaring database to allow users to overlay items just assigned to them onto their personal mail calendar. Am importing into the personal calendar with the notes database option, and simply choosing the view.

I’d swear I had it partially working, and could display the subject, but then when I went on to try and get the event time to display properly, everything quit. Now that I’ve undone things, nothing appears to work. Only thing I can figure is perhaps I initially grabbed the wrong view, and in reality private on first isn’t supported?

Can anyone confirm one way or another? If not a capability, any suggestions on an alternative to perform the same purpose?

Thanks!

Erik

Open your mail.

Choose File > Application > Replace Design.

With Template server set to Local, click Mail (R8.5), deselect Inherit future design changes, and click Replace.

Once the design is replaced, exit and restart Notes.

After you restart Notes. perform these steps to add the Notes team calendar’s entries:

Open your Notes calendar.

In the Views panel of the calendar navigator, click My Calendars.

Click Add a Calendar.

Click the Add field, and select Notes Teamroom Calendar.

For Notes Teamroom Calendar label, type the team calendar’s title.

For Notes Teamroom Calendar url, type the team calendar’s address.

Click OK. Notes adds the team calendar’s title to the My Calendars section of the calendar navigator.

To see the team calendar’s entries on your Notes calendar, click the check box next to the team calendar’s title under My Calendars. (Note that if there are many entries on the team calendar, it may take a little longer for your Notes calendar to display them.) You can toggle the display of the team calendar (and any other calendars you add) by selecting or deselecting the calendar’s check box.
