Doclink in Microsoft Word?

I need to put a link into an external aplication to a Notes document. Is there any way to put a doclink into an external application, even if it looks ugly and have it work when copied/pasted back into Notes? I tried simply pasting a doclink into a word doc and it looks almost like HTML, but was unusable when I copied it from Word and pasted it into a notes document.

You want a “Notes Document Link” - here’s what you do:

In Notes, open the document you want to link to, and choose, Edit > Copy As Link > Document Link (do NOT do a regular doclink).

Then go to your Word document, go to Edit > Paste Special. click the checkbox by Paste Link. Make sure it is set to paste as a Notes Link, and choose a Picture as the display item.
