Doc Size Way Way Off - repost

This is actually a repost from last night, but was just hoping to get more exposure posting this morning.

I have a form with a RT field that people add attachments to. In one example, a document is showing in its properties to have a size of 420 MB.

The form design is 2M and there are about 6 - 8 MB of data - including about 7 attachments in the RT field. Those attachments are no more than about 100 K each.

So why is my document so large?

Has anyone seen this phenomenon before? The only time I’ve seen it, the object was actually not an attachment but an embedded object.

Is there any way to differentiate them from the UI?

Subject: Doc Size Way Way Off - repost

I copied the same document (using basic copy and paste - ctrl_c, ctrl_v) from the source database to another test database and it doubled in size to 822 MB !!

Subject: NotesPeek Shows Attachments

I used NotesPeek and found severzal attachments with huge document sizes - but the icon does not show in the rich text field
