I’m having some issues with some code I’m using to open a frameset and then open some docs with embedded java applets. I am using script to change the values on the document and then open it, thinking the applet would reflect the changes made to the fields on the doc.
The fields appear to be properly updated in the document but then when I open the doc in the ui the applet doesn’t reflect the changes to the fields and actually if I look at the doc properties, the values haven’t changed. If I do a docGraph.Save in there it works, but I don’t want to be saving these docs every time as many people will be accessing the same documents containing the applets. I can’t use servlets and I can’t really seem to use UI classes because these are opening up in different frames. Is there something I can do to populate the fields on the doc, display it with the updated applet, but NOT have to save it? Or is there a better way to do this entirely?
Thanks in advance for any ideas.
Dustin
