Do you use SiteMinder?

If you will be using Computer Associates’ SiteMinder product in your 8.5 environment, please let me know via response document.

Thank you!

Subject: Yes, will use Siteminder

Haven’t tried Siteminder with the 8.5 beta yet. But the plan is definitely to use Siteminder on our servers that will be upgraded to 8.5 once it goes gold.

Subject: Issues using Siteminder with XPages?

I was wondering if anyone has seen any issues using Siteminder with XPages?

We think we have discovered an issue with using the XPages File Download control with Siteminder. (Details coming in a response)

Subject: File Download Control Issue with Siteminder

When using the XPages File Downlaod control on a Siteminder protected server, we get a list of links, but on click of the links, we get a 500 error page.

We are already aware of other issues with the File Download controls like:

  • the links don’t work in databases that are in folders

  • and that they don’t always launch the proper application for the file type.

See this discussion for some workaround ideas → http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd85forum.nsf/5f27803bba85d8e285256bf10054620d/38099b506bf791e08525759a0076565d?OpenDocument

I hear that fixes maybe coming but will the fixes help the Siteminder issues also?

Anyone else seeing this issue?

For the Attachment Control, and possibly other items, the URLs contain a “/.” (slash period).

One of the common “BadUrlChar” settings includes the /., removing this item from the “BadUrlChar” setting of the Agent Configuration allows this to work.
