Is it possible to disable the “You have new mail on /” message in the status bar on my Notes client? I’ve turned everything else off using the preferences but I still find this to be a distraction.

While I’m not 100% positive here, I think the router is responsible for delivering this notification, whereas the Client is reponsible for all others, which are manipulated by youruser preferences. This may explain why modifying these settings has no effect. I hope this helps

Subject: Disable mail notification in status bar
Deselect ALL the checkboxes on Preferences > Mail > Sending & Receiving > Receiving. Restart the client.
