Disable accounts?

I have a user who is on leave for just over 2 months. Is there any way of disabling her Notes account without having to remove her totally? Thanks in advance.

If you don’t need to continue to send e-mail to her, you can cut her person document out of the Directory and paste it into a new empty Directory which you keep somewhere safe. Then upon her return all you need do is paste the document back into the original directory.

If you wish people to continue to send her e-mail just put her in your deny access group for the duration. She can still receive e-mail but will not be authorised to access your servers.

You could do one of these based on your need.

For diabiling her Notes account: In the person document, choose Lockout Id.

For diabiling CAL: Remove the password field from Person document.

To leave nothing to chance, you can also adopt Chris’ approach - add the person in the deny group.

Cheers!

You could also recertify her ID to expire on a certain date. When users returns, you just need to recertify ID. Also, dependant on your system setup and ID file location, you could have the OS account to lockout on a certain date so users cannot get physical access to the ID file.

All depends on how secure you wanna make the lockout and also how much administration you want to do.

Subject: Disable accounts on DWA not function

Either the /Security/Not access server w/ deny access group or the /Action/Check Notes Password/Lockout methos can disable the account of user. But neither of them works in web access, my user can still login the server by web and works functionly. Do i still miss some steps to config? Many thanks
