“Directory Assistance is not available in an xSP environment” in the Directory Assistance database name field

the problem is a bug in server document code (v7.0.2) that will be fixed in a later release

the field VirDir had a “0” in it (character zero) instead of a numeric zero ( the number 0)

solution is to make a trival change - then save & exit

The field name is IsVirDir

In the newest versions of Domino Directory design templates the problem has beeg resolved by changing the “hide when” formula of “… not available …” text message.

In Domino Admin Guide 7.0.2 it’s written “Directory Assistance is not supported in an xSP environment.”

Directory Assistance is not supported in an xSP environment. This is stated in the Admin Guide -

Directory assistance is not supported in a hosted environment. You cannot use Domino’s directory assistance feature with Domino’s xSP configuration. The Directory assistance database name field on the xSP Server document should be blank.
