Difference Between F9 and delimiter when looking up Recipients in a Memo

Hi,

Can someone kindly explain to me the differences in name lookups depending on how the search is initiated?

For example, pressing the F9 key produces different results as opposed to pressing [enter] or typing a delimiter (like a comma).

For example, one of our user’s initials is ACT. This is listed in the short name field in addition to atang.

If i type in ACT and press F9, Notes find his name and expands it. If I press [enter] or a comma, Notes find ONLY the Activites Committee address and expands that.

This happens for a number of user’s names and the behavior does not change when the location docs are set to any variety of different settings related to name lookups.

Thanks,
