Designer 8.5.1: cannot read my script libraries anymore

Hi,When i try to open one of my script libraries in DDE, the Designer creates a new empty library.

I’m sure the library still exists because the app works well and the print statements in the scripts outputs normally to the client.

I deleted the workspace dir and restarted the Designer: that doesn’t work.

Any idea ?

Thanks

Christophe

Subject: That’s definitely broken. Did you try a reinstall? Open a PMR?

Subject: What i did

  • opened a Service Request- deleted the workspace directory

  • deleted cache.ndk and desktop8.ndk

  • restart notes

with no luck

I didn’t try reinstalling lotus.

The hotline wants me to send one database, though all my lotusscript agents and script library are gone for all my databases.

What works is deactivating the lotusscript editor based on Eclipse in the Preferences.

Version for Designer and Server is 8.5.1FP4

Any ideas of what’s going on ?

Thanks

Christophe

Subject: Could we please get the db that is being used?

If it can be emailed to shiremat@us.ibm.com that would be great. I shall try to reproduce the problem and check with dev.

Subject: please look at the fields on the script library

is there one that says $Script_error or something like that? Another thing to try is to open it up in the “old” editor and see if the old source is there (if the app is running, it likely is).

This sounds like a case where save with errors saved an empty item, and the new editor looks at that item before the one that is in “production.”

Subject: old editor works well …

… all my code is here when using the old editor.Fields on the library are:

$Flags

$PublicAccess

$ScriptLib

$ScriptLib_O

$Signature

$TITLE

$UpdatedBy

The lotusscript agents have the same problem. The formula agents have no problem.

Thanks

Christophe
