Depends on another filed lookup

Hi

i m filling the combo on lookuping on another text field

for exaple when i load the page, firstly that field is blank, thats why it is giving error, but after selecting value still facing same problem,that text field(clicking on the picture nearer that will open another form and will allow us to select the value from that field.)

actually code for that combo to fill is here

Hi Dev,

There may be refresh problem occuring in this case. Are you getting the same error before and after selecting the values.

I believe you have to refresh the document afetr selecting the value in the text field. You can make it by enabling “Refersh fileds on keyword change”

ya i have done it

but facing same problem

i actually want to fill up the combo that depends on multivalued filed from view(i e names like, K raja, b dahanvear, C Devacharya) like

still getting same problem

i want to fill up the combo after i select that field on the same form

that field will(clicking on nearer picture box will(open new window) and allow us to select value and then combobox should fill;

is there any event that should fire after filling value in textbox

is it facing multivalued problem??

i believe multivalue field may not be issue, unless you select the multivalues for lookup. Can you give the error you are faing before and after selecting the value iin the multitext field

hi

i m not selecting multivalued field, it is sigle valued filed text box, the multivalued field is in view like( r name1,rname2,rname3) etc that should be filled the combo on company name;

if i m doing dbcolumn that will wrk nicely,since problem is with dblookup and it is my requirement:

the error is like in combobox is “ERROR ENTRY NOT FOUND IN INDEX ON KEYLOOKUP” before selecting and after selecting the value on that combo; my view is sorted and catagorized:

Hi Dev,you can achieve this by creating one hidden text field with the dblookup formula. and place this hidden field name in the combo box field.

I hope this may help in solving your issue.
