Delivery Failures with Blackberry and Notes

We are running Domino 8.5.1 and Notes 8.5.1. We have one user who is having a problem with delivery failures. He has Joe User in his Blackberry Contact list with an email address of joe.user@someplace.com. When he receives an email from Joe User, he replies to the message on the Blackberry and sometimes gets a deliver failure “Joe User@ourdomain.com” can not be found in the Domino Directory.

This does not happen all the time but often enough that our user is getting annoyed. Does any one have any idea as to what is causing this and how to fix it?

Sounds like an issue w/the BES mis-addressing the email for some reason. Have you checked the BES logs for when the failed emails were sent to see if BES reports any problems resolving the address, etc?
What version of BES are you running?

Is this limited to just one user or does it happen to several? If several, is there any connection between them (eg: the all use the same BES server) or a pattern to the failures?)
