Deleting from the Inbox

I am having an issue with one user when he tries to delete from his inbox. When he deletes an email, an “X” appears beside the email. He has to press F9 to remove it from the inbox view. It is permanently deleted and, therefore, never goes into his “Trash” view (in case he needs to restore it). I have checked the properties on his mail file and soft deletions are enabled.

I can’t find anyone else this is happening to. I was thinking of refreshing the mail database design to see if that would help.

What is the ODS of his e-mail database? Any ODS before ODS 43 would list that it has soft deletions as an option if viewed in a 6+ client, but it wouldn’t take effect. If the user just recently upgraded from an earlier version to 6.5.1 that could explain your issue.

Other than that, I wouldn’t know what the issue is either.

Brandt - The ODS of the email database is 43 and we have not upgraded anyone’s email for a while. The user could not tell me when this started and for how long this has been happening. Not alot of information to go on, unfortunately.
