We are looking for an explantation of delegation rights.
Here is the scenario:
Exective has given full delegation rights to an Admin Asst. only. He also have the option only allow the following people to view my schedule set for that person.
The Admin Asst. have 2 delegates of her mail file. Those delegates are able to see the Exec schedule (open calendar) and also edit a calendar entry.
Is this the way delegation has been set up?
Subject: Have you chosen the option to forward meeting notices?
If Exec is forwarding meeting notices to the Admin Assistant, the two delegates might then see those meeting notices in the Admin Assistant’s mail file.
Otherwise, what you are describing shouldn’t happen, because delegation affects the ACL for that person’s mail file. The likely cause would be some other access provided by the ACL on the exec’s mail file. Check this ACL to see if you can work out how they are being allowed access. (Delegation just modifies the mail file ACL, although it does this via the administration process if the user doesn’t have Manager access him/herself).
