We have a 2 server Domino cluster. No load balancing (the second is for failover only - with the excepton of 2 users).
Our primary server has been plagued with crashes for months.
IBM techs have offered no solution to date.
We had 2 crashes yesterday. Both appear to be nrouter.
Was wondering if anyone has had any luck with dbcache disable helping with server crashes.
I just turned off dbcache this morning after being made aware of the second crash yesterday.
(Happened after I left)
Some things we have put into place to try to solve:

Upgraded to 6.5.3 FP1

Moved primary data to different hardware (with the exception of the SAN FiberChannel card - this card was moved to different hardware too)

Reloaded Domino and put software/application files on C: and Data directory on SAN (previously, both were on SAN)

Removed the server from our Belkin KVM switch
(Installed keyboard, video, and mouse directly to server)

Removed .ini settings to write to debug file and went with console logging instead (for some reason, there were 2 seperate entries in the ini to write debug info to 2 seperate files - removed both lines)

Removed much of the workload from this server by placing another Domino box “upstream” to handle SMTP mail from CA eTrust Content Filter/Spam Filter.
Nothing thus far as helped.
What is next in line for us to try:

Moving primary Domino to brand new IBM hardware (Wintel,2003) with brand new QLogic SAN Fibre Channel card (moving this tonight)

Configure transactional logging to minimize downtime due to consistency checks

Removing inbound iNotes and passthru connections from this box (moving them to the upstream server instead)
If nothing listed here works, and we can’t get additional suggestions, I am quite sure that my executives will force me to move to a different email platform.
Any suggestions (as strange as they may sound) are appreciated !!!
