When trying to migrate a Laptop user’s mail from a 4.6 server to a new 6 server, we get the message “The object store that is used by this note was not found or is not a notes database”. This message occurs at approx 25% into the replication.

Make sure the client is 4.6.7a if it is a 4.6 mail template and update the design of your local mail with the 4.6.7a mail template before you replicate. If it is an R6 mail template you need to install the 6 client.

The user is currently using a 4.6 client with a 4.6 mail template. The plan (previous migrations have went off with out a hitch) is to install LN6. Replication the user’s mail box on to a Domino 6 server. And apply new template.
It is during the replication of the mailbox between the two servers that it fails.
