Database open error: D:\lotus\domino\data\xyz.nsf: Database is currently in use by you or another user

Hello,

I see some strange error messages in the Domino console:

03.08.2009 09:33:08 Database open error: D:\lotus\domino\data\xyz.nsf: Database is currently in use by you or another user

where xyz can be any Notes Database. The strange thing is, no other program is running, which would access the databases (virus scan, backup program, …). The users can access the database with no error.

Is there something else I could have missed?

Subject: Perhaps fixed with 8.5 FP1

Hi,

I just have seen, in FP1 there´s perhaps a fix for this: +SPR# JFOR7Q7KF4

I´m going to install the fixpack and provide feedback then.

The problem occurs in out production environment so I have to wait for the next maintenance interval to install the fixpack. I can give you feedback on thursday then.

Unfortunately the messages are still appearing, even with FP1.

Subject: Did you ever find a resolution?

Just wondering if you ever resolved this. We started getting this message on one of our servers quite consistently starting last week. I’ve restarted Domino, rebooted the OS … to no avail.
