Database links lost

When I open a database, sometimes I get an error “Field ‘Logo’: File does not exist”. This field is build from a computed field which fetches data from a seperate parameters database. Other errors experienced are embedded views which do not calculate - Any field or element which fetches data from a different db. To resolve the problem in the short term requires the user to open (& close) each related database or to re-find the relevant replicas.

Does anyone have any ideas to try to resolve this issue?

Ah - the infamous intuitive Notes error messages.

The majority of the times I see a similar message is when a computed field is looking to a database it cannot find. The majority of times a database (that you know does exist) cannot be found is when you think you are on a server and are actually in your local replica.

Depending on where the lookup database is located, be sure you are on the same server.

Beyond that you may want to check the lookup formula itself. If it specifies the server:file as “” (empty string) then the formula can only look to whatever drive its on. If you “hard-code” (either by literal text or by a lookup to a value stored somewhere) for the actual server and file name it will always look to that server .
