Database doesn't open to default view

What would cause a database to open to a view other than the default view. Database is set to open as last viewed by user. There are no outlines, pages or frames yet. (But I will probably add them so maybe that will fix this.)

Database is set to open as last viewed by user.
You provided the answer in your question. With that option, the default view would only apply if a user had never opend the database before.

At first blush, I might think that was the reason, but I have other databases set up the same way and they don’t do this. This one database always goes back to the same view, no matter what view I had open. There are of course other people who use this database. But this isn’t a high traffic database, so I’m sure that I am closing and opening at least sometimes when no one else is using it. It should be remembering the last view I had opened and not the one view it seems to favor.

Have you tried removing the database icon from your workspace and re-opening?

No. But I just did, and…it worked! Thanks for the tip. I never would have thought…
