Does DAOS also work with Image Resources?
Thanks
Mael
Subject: Re: DAOS Question
I am unsure if I understand your question, but in general DAOS is a service for attachment consolidation. So long as an attachment meets the minimum file size for attachment consolidation (as specified in the Server Document), it will be consolidated. An image would not be excluded.
Subject: Re: Daos question
I was referring to design elements - Image Resources, Files, etc. but the Reviewer’s Guide only mentions document attachments.
Subject: Attachments only
DAOS will work with any attachment data. Objects that are embedded in the document (such as a picture in a rich text body field of a mail message) are NOT eligible for DAOS storage.

Thanks, Patrick and Dan
I’ve just read some documentation and it mentions indeed document attachments only, not database resources - images, files etc.
Many thanks

Subject: Possible…
…and has been discussed, but no plans or promises at this point. The prime offender usage that comes to mind would be signature images.
