DAOS and Quota's

We have two servers that house only document libraries. We have imposed quota’s for them and set at 1.6 GB. We have also DAOSified the servers and the libraries. Recently I found a library with a quota set at 1.6 GB, but the Logical size was 3.3 GB. The physical size is a little over 1 MB.

Thinking that someone may have temporarily removed the quota, I found a library with logical size of 1.7 GB (quota still at 1.6). I was able to create a document with a 50 MB attachment in that library and save it.

My question: With DAOS enabled, is the quota looking at the phyiscal size? I thought that looked at the logical size. If it is looking at the logical size, how was I able to create and save a file (or even go over the quota).

By the way, the account I tested with had no special privileges and Quota enforcement (on the server doc) is set at Check file size when extending the file.
