I finally got a custom welcome page deployed only to find out that it cannot really be locked down!! Apparently the definition of “Do not allow users to change their home page” is limited to the dropdown containing the various welcome pages stored in bookmark.nsf. It does not prevent users from right clicking any bookmark and choosing “Set Bookmark as Home Page”. I was really hoping to force all users to a new corporate welcome page with R6. Instead the majority of my company will continue to have their workspace as their homepage and there is nothing I can do about it!

yes, it’s a bug. We’re investigating a fix for it.

Thanks Debbie. I was told that no fix is planned for any 6.x version. Do you think that this fix would be included in an upcoming release?

It has been written up in our bug database and has been escalated. I, too, would like to see it fixed.
