We have a custom welcome page set in our desktop settings, part of the organizational policy (*/organization). When we make changes on the server (same database linked in the desktop setting), some 6.5.1 clients in the organizational policy receive the changes right away (ie. a new database referenced in one of the welcome page tabs) and the rest of them take forever, some not ever getting the changes. Is there a way to jump start the welcome page on the clients machine to read the correct information? It seems to be cached. I tried deleting the notes cache and restarting the client. We’ve added the database we’re using as the welcome page to their replication (via the policy). That seems to work right away with the policy. You can open the database locally on the client machine and see the changes we’ve made but the welcome page referenced in the toobar (tab without the “X”) never changes. I can’t say this happens with all changes b/c some small changes to the welcome page have come through, for instance using a custom graphic. Does anyone else see a lag? In some cases our lag (bookmark changes)on the local network have taken up to 5 or more days. It seems like the client is reading a cached version of the welcome page and never refreshes.Manually changing the welcome page defeats the purpose of having the control on our end. Other than that, the policy’s we have set in the organizational policy take effect right away the next time the user authenticates with the mail server.
Any Idea’s???
