Custom Dictionary not saving new words

I am running the Notes 8.0.2 client on a Windows XP machine. I have noticed that when spell check runs over an e-mail I am sending it is repeatedly telling me that I have misspelled words that I have already added to the dictionary. I have this happening to multiple people using the same client. I have deleted the user.dic file and recreated it, thinking it was maybe just a corrupt file, but that does not solve the issue. I don’t recall this being an issue in the 8.0.1 client.

has anyone else seen this?

Same problem - it won’t even remember my last name and company name - have had it ask several times in one day

Subject: Spell Check Dictionery won’t remember new words

I just reported this to IBM by opening a PMR since I didn’t see any resolution. Here is the response which I cannot fathom but there you go.-----

From the IBM Tech Support Guy: I have done some research on this issue and have discovered that it is a known issue that is documented in SPR# JSTN7LKUY4 with a status of “No plans to fix ever” ------
