Is this corrected in V7? Seems to be working on this server (a Domino V7 server)… but how?
OK… there should be a simple answer or you would think! If I goto ibm.com -w- “show friendly http…” enabled + type bad URL, it displays a custom 404 page. If I do the same on this server (LDD - V7 server), I get a custom 404 message.

Would someone please let me know the secret? We have tried adding over 512 bytes of information to the custom error page w/o success. Again, it works if the “show friendly http messages” is disabled in IE. HELP!!! LDD WEBMASTER… please share the secret!!!

Update: I actually visited the codestore.net site yesterday. Some great ideas + sample Db… but no solution for the common 404. e.g. I noticed a nice custom 404 when entering a bad URL under a Db. Example…

I understand how the $$forms handle the errors for Dbs. In our case, there are many non-NSF items like PDFs, etc… Again, it works fine with Firefox and IE (when "show friendly… is off). Will keep working…
Thanks for your posting… now I put 2+2 together and realize how this site is working. Same as above… works with errant request after database in URL. Example…

At this stage, I am really curious about how ibm.com is doing it! I know that there server might be Apache/IBM HTTP but the custom 404 is working 100%! What is the secret… or is this just a limitation of Domino?
