When trying to create an object from a file, the client is crashing. Anyone seen this before?

Hi, more info:I’m trying to embed a PDF file in a document. The size of the file is less than 1MB, and has never been a problem before (client version 6.x). Sometimes the client immediately shut down when selecting create-object, or when I choose the PDF file
