Hello.
We have recently moved into a new building and I have been asked to create a few more room resources:
Meeting Room IT
Meeting Room ICT
Meeting Room Ops
Meeting Room Eng
I have created the room resources and they appear correctly when a user is creating a meeting. The problem we are having is that when one of the above room resources are selected the user will get an email specifying a ‘Delivery Failure Report’. Additional information received is:
"Your document was not deleiverd to: Meeting Area IT/xxx-mel@xxx.com.au
because: Maximum forwarding loop count exceeded. Message probably in a forwarding loop. Examine Forwarding Address of intended recipient in Domino Directory. ( Username Failure.)
Is there something I have forgotten to do?

This happen if there is not Mailin doc in the address book or the Resource.nsf is not specify correctly in the mailin record for the room.

Excuse my ignorance but what do you mean by there not being a mail-in doc in the address book. I have looked at the Domino Directory and was unable to see any references to any existing room resource - prehaps I am lookig in the wrong area. Any further guidance would be helpful. Previously set-up room resources are working correcltly eg board room, seminar room atc. It is just the new ones I have added. There must be an additional step I have missed doing???

Look in messaging, Mail-In, Database and Resources, you will have two categories here, Dababases and Rooms…Your room shoulf listed here.

yep, I see the entries in the Domino Directory - Messaging, Mail-In-datanase, Rooms.
However I still get a mail delivery failure. Is there anything else I need to do i.e. run an admino process etc?

Got it working!
I managed to get it working by doing the following. I created the resource document in the Domino Directory first - Mail-in databases…
I then created a document in the Resource.nsf providing the name and description etc similar to that of the document created above.
I thought that by creating the resource in the resuot=rce.nsf the domino directory document would be created and all would be OK - and this was happening however I kept getting a mail-routing error. Doing it the way I have described abovedid not give me any mail routing errors.
