We have a database on server “y” (for example purposes) and are making it web capable /upgrading some features and moving to server “x”.
Once we are ready, we would like people to be able to use their workspace icons as already existed and be redirected to the new database.

however it keeps saying the databases are not replicas. I am not sure that I want them to be. Is there another way.
Any suggestions for best practices or other solutions appreciated.
