Create webuser only

Hi.

I have a couple of application databases running on my mail server and would like to give an external user access by web to one of the discussion databases. I do not want to give him an email address or a local mail file. I cant find any option in domino administrator to set such options.

Anyone please advice…

There are couple of options

  1. From Admin client got to ‘People & Groups’ tab and then click on the ‘Register’ option under People menu on the right pane. Select ‘Mail Sytem’ as None while registering and opt out (uncheck) from a notes id file creation.

  2. Open your names.nsf in Notes Client and then use ‘Add Person’ button available from the People view action bar. You will be able to create an user name and manually type in a password for the user.

One more note: A person document for a web user must at least contain a last name, a user name and (to make any sence) an HTTP password.

But I’m pretty sure that this info can be found in the admin Client help.
