I have installed a new server and need to create new replicas of all databases on this new server. From ‘Administrator’ I selected all the databases and choose ‘Create Replica’. It ‘Processed’ all without errors. But it hasn’t begun to create the new replicas. What am I missing?
Subject: Create new Replicas of multiple databases
AdminP must be running, and must already be replicating. You should also have connection documents to define replication schedules.
And replica must be running
And of course you should have both servers in LocalDomainServers (or whatever group you are using)
I’m probably leaving some stuff out…
Subject: RE: Create new Replicas of multiple databases
Admin Process is running, as is replicator. I have 2 connection documents each pointing to the other server.
I DO get this message when switching servers in admin client.
Unable to locate server in topology
Edited:
I did something to get rid of the topology error.
Looking at admin4 database, I get this
Received the status – Source and destination servers are not clustered – trying to create database.nsf on server; a replica creation request has been generated for further processing.
With a corresponding request for the action. But they are just sitting there. Nothing is happening. At some point, a few of the databases appear to have stated to replicate as the database partially exists on the other server (Title appears to be the unique document ID). But these are partial as all databases are 262,144 bytes. I have restarted adminp and replicator with no change.
