Does anyone else find this behavior strange? If a meeting invitee has accepted an invitation, the Participant Actions open to him are Decline/Propose new time/Delegate. This is the same whether in Calendar or inside the invite. But if s/he drags the invite to another timeslot, it simply disappears from the calendar. The only entry |I can find is the counter-proposal in All Documents.
Is this normal behavior? It seems extremely strange to me - documents should never just disappear.
The reason this occurs is because when you are dragging/dropping a meeting invitation you are either proposing a new time as an invitee or you are rescheduling the meeting as a chair.
In your particular instance, when the invitee drags the meeting to a new time slot, Notes created a counter proposal to the chair of the meeting. Please note before the counter is sent to the user, the user is prompted with a “Propose Options” dialog box which confirms the time the user has chosen to propose. Once the user selects the time, the chair of the meeting should receive a counter invitation from the user. Upon receipt of this counter, the chair will decide whether or not to accept and if the chair does accept the counter the user will receive a new meeting invitation. Once the user decides to accept this invitation, the entry will be placed back onto the user’s calendar at the new time. This is working as designed.
but not as understood. A simple user can’t understand why the counter-proposal no longer shows up on his calendar (neither can I). To all appearances, it has simply disappeared.
