Couldn't access shared memory key

Hi everbody. After upgrading from Domino 5.10 to Domino 6.5.1 the server crashes and writes an nsd file. It also happens with clean install of Domino 6.0.3 and 6.5.1. Is it possible that it is a OS failure???

Did you ever resolve this? I am getting the same error ever since going to 6.5.1. When the Server Crashes I always get “PANIC: lookup handle, handle out of range” NSD File says “ERROR (48): couldn’t access shared memory key ‘IRIS$MEM$194$0$d.Lotus.Domino.Data’ - (22) Invalid argument”

We found the problem was caused by rogue mail. we solved this by removing the servertask (router )from notes.ini then we cut all the mail from our mail1.box and copied it to another location. we restarted the router and then copied the mail from the backup location into mail1.box. bit by bit until we found the offending mail.

We have been seing the same problem… We have been on 6.5.1 for over a year with little to no problems. We replaced the address book to resolve the issue. Here is the official lotus respone:This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPRs #BRIS5VTNYU and #GHAG64MH6X. SPR #GHAG64MH6X has been fixed in releases 6.0.5 and 6.5.4. Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.0.5 / 6.5.4 MR fix list (available at IBM Developer):

SPR# GHAG64MH6X - Fixed a Panic: LookupHandle: handle out of range" error when attempting to update a note (i.e. modify, forward, etc.).

Subject: TCPIP Settings

Check your TCPIP Settings “Sh Config TCPIP” at the server console. I had this same problems it was from a typo when turning on compression. “Set Config TCPIP=TCP,0,15,0,12320,” Then restart the server.

Does it crash at startup or after a while?

Disable LDAP and see if it helps. If it doesn’t help disable HTTP and AMGR.

Check that all filepaths in server document and notes.ini exists and that server has OS-level write access to it’s file directories.
