The requirement might be to do this as part of a Domino application, in which case it’s a perfectly valid place to ask the question.

Hi Emily
No, and absolutely NO.
The explained purpose is to translate a .pdf file to a .doc one.
No matter how the PDF was created, translating a PDF into DOC is possible with stand-alone solutions.
If the requirement is to use Domino, he should learn how to launch application within agents, but he did’nt ask !
I really don’t see how native Notes or Domino processes would be involved in.
If you do not, I’m very sorry for you.

We use an application which takes some data from a Notes database, uses that data to retrieve some other data from a SQL server and then puts all that together to produce a PDF via Crystal Reports. All from within Domino. As part of writing that application, I might have had to ask something about how to deal with Crystal Reports from within Lotusscript. This may be a similar situation to what the person asking this question is facing - are you saying that this wouldn’t be the appropriate place to post questions like that?

Hi back,
What I am saying is that he did’nt mentionned if he were using lotusscript, or notes, or so.
So, logically, this is the wrong place for asking for something that stand-alone applications do easily.
Further, the F1 key’s job is to guess your questions, our is not.

Hello Mr.Emily, I posted how to convert a PDF to Word document programmatically.I thought when i posted this forum people would understand that it would be done in notes and moreover this forum is specifically for notes so i thought people would understand the requirement and help me out???

Hi,
I realised that this was probably your requirement which is why I posted a response to Yannick’s post which seemed to be suggesting you went elsewhere.
This is the right place to post this type of question, but you’d get much better responses if you post more details about your requirement to begin with.
Unfortunately, I can’t help with your particular question, but i wish you good luck with it. And remember to post back to the forum if you get a good solution to help others who may have the same requirement in the future!
Emily.

Emily
I’m sorry but it ain’t absolutely the right place for posting questions related to something else than Domino behavior and/or Notes formulas/lotusscript/views/etc. !!!
This forum is not a HOW-TO-DO place for sundays’ coders.

Hi, danny. Thanks for your nice sharing. As for me, I have seldom tried to set the response to a different type. I wonder have you ever worked it out? Do I need another 3rd party manual toolkit? When it comes to PDF conversion process, I have another question, I wonder have you ever tried to convert pdf to other image files before? As for myself, I am testing the related PDF to PNG converting , PDF to BMP converting , and PDF to JPG converting programs these days. Do you have experience about it? Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Pan
