I was reading the documentation of Connections 7 at https://help.hcltechsw.com/connections/v7/admin/install/t_install_cluster.html and I surprised that still, there is dependencies with Websphere Advanced Server. I am frustated, since expected to have mayor changes on architecture, at least replace Websphere Server and use Liberty, and ideally, an architecture based on Kubernetes.
Component Pack is the only "fresh" architecture changes we have for the latest years, and it seems it keeps improving, if I did understood correctly we can even deploy it known on OpenShifth or Amazon EKS as Kubernetes cluster, on cloud or on premise... however this is limited to the Component Pack, a small part of connections that still remains very tiny, it does not add new features or old modules are being moved there..:-(
When can we expect a new architecture based on Kubernetes and being able to take away old dependencies for the MAIN CORE of Conections ?
Why are not the basics of Component Pack being applied to all the rest of components ?
This old architecture is a serious stopper for net installs... :-( Can we PLEASE obtains details of the roadmap of the product ?
