ConfigureMailAgent

For various reasons I need to configure an agent programmatically to “run on behalf” of another user, the owner of the mail file that the agent will run in (note, it is not the Out Of Office agent). The reasons for this are long and complex, partly having to do with the fact that we were sold a messaging/calendaring systems that does not 100% fit the needs of our environment or user base. But anyway, why is it that LotusScrpt always comes up just shy of able to do what you want? I need to set this agent to run on behalf of approx 1500 users. But, if I use the ConfigureMailAgent method of adminp, I get the “Error: The signer of this request must be the mail file’s owner” and it does not work. Now, very few people are given the right “Sign agents to run on behalf of someone else” - it is quite irritating that those users cannot also programmtically do so.If anyone has any suggestions on how i might get this to work, let me know. I cannot go into 1500 databases and enter the mail file owner name in the “run on behalf of field.” A way to spoof the adminp request signer might work, or a hack to make the “OnBehalfOf” agent property writable…

Seriously, if you know what I am talking about and have come up with some way around this let me know. IF not maybe you can share the pain…
